Mark A. Ship is the Principal of Sandler & Ship, who assist their clients by developing clear and concise strategies, plans and actions that drive operations excellence and deliver superior business results. We work with executive and management teams to understand, analyze and prioritize the significant areas of challenges and opportunities being faced. We recommend solutions as well as help lead the implementation of change initiatives.

Our consulting and advisory expertise and services are in the areas of alliance and acquisition integrations, strategic planning, operations and service excellence, values and culture transformations, global team effectiveness, change management, supply chain management, logistics and distribution, process focus, governance, communication and facilitation, six sigma and LEAN efficiency, financial management as well as executive coaching.  Industry experiences are in medical technology, diagnostic imaging, hospital systems, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing and facilities management.

Prior to establishing Sandler & Ship consulting and advisory services, Mark served in a number of executive leadership roles with five global General Electric businesses over a career span of 23 years. Mark was an executive for a fortune 100 medical technology company and previously with a nationally ranked top specialty pediatric hospital and health system.

Mark is a recognized global business leader having worked and travelled to 25 countries. In addition to his international business expertise, he has extensive experience working with large and small teams alike. He has a straightforward communication and leadership style and an approach that keeps people engaged, energized and fully accountable.

Mark has served on several boards as an officer and director. He recently served a nine year term as a board director and member of the finance and medical affairs committees, past chair of the governance, strategic planning as well as the diversity and inclusion committees for the Ronald McDonald House. Mark is an adjunct lecturer on International Business at the University of Wisconsin, Lubar business school. He is also an active advisor and coach with SCORE and EVERWISE. Previously, Mark served as an executive mentor with BizStarts Milwaukee as well as a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement for over 20 years.

Mark earned an MBA from Northwestern University, is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is GE Six Sigma certified.  Mark is married,  has two children and enjoys the pursuits of the game of golf where he somehow managed to get an illusive hole in one. (pure luck, no skill according to his playing partners!)
